My Maytag MDE4658AYW electric dryer runs for about 2 minutes after pressing the start button and then shuts off. You can start it again immediately but after 2 more minutes, it quits again. Now, the control panel LED's don't light and it doesn't work at all. There is power getting to the dryer because the light in the drum lights. A bad control PC board?????

It sounds like the thermal fuse has opened.

It may be that the control board is faulty.

This would have to be checked by a technician.
