Age: More than 10 years

Can anyone tell me how to determine the cause of the heating system failure?

The first thing to check is your house fuses. There are two 30 amp fuses the operate the dryer.

Check the connections where the cord goes in to the dryer.

Check the heating element to see that there is no breaks in it.

Check the motor switch connection to see if there are any breaks.

Sheila, All four suggested items checked and several poor connections replaced. Before motor ran but no heat. Now nothing runs so am about to open up again. Would like to get the circuit diagram for this dryer so I trace the system through. There is one thermostat on the heater ring and two on the discharge fan cover. How can I check these?
