Default Maytag Dryer makes loud noise while working
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDE3000AYW
Age: 5 - 10 years

My Maytag dryer makes a loud noise while it's spinning. I think the drive belt is worn but not sure. Please advise. Do you also provide instructions on how to replace the parts?

Mehdi

What kind of noise?

Is it a scrapping noise?

Is it a thumping noise?

It's not a thumping noise, it's loud scrapping/screeching noise; more like a loud continuous car-breaking noise.

It could be the front glides that need to be replace.

Or there is a nail or a bra wire caught in the drum.

Check for foreign object if this started all of the sudden.

Here is a link to your dryer model MDE3000AYW.
