Let me help you diagnose this. First turn the dryer on to heat. If the gas comes out, and then it will cycle off. Then the second time does the ignitor come on, and then you hear a click, and the ignitor shuts off, and no gas?. If this is so you need a new gas valve. If it does cycle off, and on, but just does not heat enough. I would venture to say that you have an air flow problem. Your vent outside is not totally clear, therefore the heat does not leave the dryer, and the unit, quickly cycles on and off. Hence the long time to dry.
