I have a maytag dryer and would like some information on "membrane switch". Lightning storm struck our residence and damaged the dryer. I have ordered the logic board and suspect it may also be the "membrane switch". Do you have any suggestions? If you can tell me were I can find a repair manuel, or diagrahm of this part.

The wiring diagram for your dryer should be in the control panel or on the back of the dryer in a envelope.

There may be a mini manual for the test procedures.

Usually the electrical strike just take out the main control.

Here is a link to the parts of your dryer model mce8000ayq.
