Default Magtag Sensor Dry
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDG5500AWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Dryer works fine on timed dry. Sensor dry has never worked. I just removed the sensor and it looks fine. Anyway to test the sensor or any other troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Dave

Check the voltage between pins 3 and 4 on the J4 connector.

You should get 24 volts DC.

In the control panel you will find a technician sheet that can guide you through the test procedures.

Here is a link to the parts of your dryer model MDG5500AWW.
