Default Low heat too long to fry
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: SDG515daww
Age: 1 - 4 years

I changed 3 items last year when my maytag dsg515daww stopped working.

1. thermal fuse (still working)
2. High limit thermostat
3. Cycling thermostat

now the clothes took longer to dry. I suspect the cycling thermostat coulbe be bad but not conclusive. I've checked the for air flow itseems to be fine.

any hints would be appreciated.

Is the burner staying lite.

It may be the igniter that is not working properly.

The cycling thermostat should cut the heat of when it reaches about 150 degrees and then will cut back in as the temperature drops.

You will have to watch the operation of the burner to see what is happening.

Here is a link to your dryer model SDG515daww.
