Default Low heat in dryer
Brand: Amana
Model Number: LEA30AW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I am guessing on the year and it will heat to about 130 or so measured with the probe on an indoor/outdoor thermometer.

Airflow seems good and both legs of the 220 are good.

Thanks Dean

You will need a meter to test things. Probably a bad wire somwere. Go to partselect for take apart info.

Default update

I could not find a bad wire, yet anyway, so bypassed the thermostat to see if it changed anything. Did not seem to.

Got to thinking about the fabric selector and tried delicate setting. The dryer got hotter on delicate than regular. Checked the wires for correct terminals, they are correct. This was with the thermostat still bypassed.

I have the thermostat back in the circuit, will try another cycle to see what it does.

Dean
