[LG Dryer in trouble]

Front loader Tromm
It works sometimes (starts) and other times it wont start.
When you hit the start button you hear it hum like it wants to run.
I also opened the door and spun the drum by hand closed the door real quick and hit the start button and then it works fine.

any suggestions?

Dryer motors usually have 2 windings a Start and a Run
At motor start both windings are on once the motor gets close to its run speed the start winding is disconnected.
This is usually done by a pair of switches on a centrifugal speed mechanism, this is part of the motor.
It could be that this mechanism is just dirty, clogged up with lint
One of the switches has failed
Start winding has burned out
I'd try cleaning the motor out first
