Cool Kenmore Series 70 Stopped Running
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: Series 70
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Kenmore Series 70 Heavy Duty Dryer
It just quit running last night while drying a load of clothes.
I have replaced the 30 amp breaker at panel and checked the wall plug.
I am getting 120v on both legs of the 240v plug.
Is there a fuse in the back of control panel or any ideas?

Yes there is a fuse in the back. Take the back panel off, and you will see a white piece with two wires coming to it. It will be a inch and a half long, and a half inch wide. Make sure the dryer is unplugged, and pull the two wires off, and put them together to jump out, and put a little tape on it so it does not hit any metal, and plug it in, and there you have it. Do not run the product without it. It is for saftey. The part is a thermal fuse. Once you get it running clean your vent hose, and make sure you are getting real good air flow outside. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
