Default Kenmore How do you get to the inside
Brand: Kenmore
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a kenmore elite mod # 110.61084000 and I am not sure how to get inside this thing. I unswewed the srews in the rear but it boes not seem to have a rear panel that comes off. I want to check the element and the therostat.

I'll take a guess that the kenmore like other dryers opens from the top. Most have "snap" mechinisms around perimeter of top. Try a plastic pry about 2" from a front corner and see if you can pry it up. Plastic or cloth covered metal so you don't chip/scratch finish. You can probably get a better idea how it works if you take a look at the parts diagram for that model. The diagram is usually a blow up and you will see what I'm talking about. PL

Your Elete opens By opening the control panel and remove the screws that are holding the rear of the top panel, then the top slides off. remove the toe panel in front by slipping a putty knife in the gap and relesing clips on both sides, remove the 2 screws top inside front,left & right, the front panel will tip out, but you first have to loosen the 2 screws below the door. now you can access every thing Bettyboop
