this dryer starts sometimes and when it does it will run for a short while then just shut off, when it doesn't start you can push the switch to start it and all that you get is a humming sound and the drum will not turn, it sounds as if an internal relay switch is tripped it seems as if you wait for a while you can retry the process again.

Its actually the switch on the motor. either replace the motor or take the black switch apart on the motor that all the wires connect to and clean everything real good including the contacts

Rotate your drum by hand
Should turn fairly easily
If it does
Remove the belt and rotate the motor
If it turns easily

I think you have a drum support issue and you are overloading the motor causing it to overheat and trip it's cutout
