Could be your temp limit thermostat is kicking out

Usually caused by a dirty vent system
Remove from the vent and run it.
If worried about lint in the house. Take a pair of pantyhose, put one leg in the other and attach this to the vent exhaust. Leave enough room so it can blow out like a windsock.
Run the dryer and check for good air flow and heat
If it runs OK your vent is dirty and/or the outside flap is not opening correctly.

Also could be a bad door latch or door switch.
Every once in a while the clothes open the door a little, if the switch is just closed, it opens and stops the dryer. This is usually more random when it comes to time.

The first thing I would like you to check is the door switch. Open the door, and look at the little arm of the door switch, does it look bent or broken? When you close the door, just before it is closed, you should here the door switch click, and make contact. If you need further information, I could be reached at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

Default Thermistor

I have an "Elite" so I am not sure mine is like yours but Whirlpool is big on using the same guts with different controls. My dryer would come on run a few minutes then shut itself off. You stand there and watch the control advance to the "off" position, no matter where you set the control. It is only suppose to do this when it is set for moisture sensing. The problem was a bad thermistor in the exhaust vent. It is accessible from the front bottom cover (on mine). Check the sears wiring diagram for this part on yours.
