Default Kenmore dryer not shutting off
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.67732791
Age: Please select

Hi everyone! I am in need of help with my Kenmore dryer model # 110.67732791. It runs fine, however it does not shut off. I can hear the timer ticking even when the dryer is off. Am I in need of a new timer? If so, does anyone have a part #? Or is there something else I should check?

dose the dryer end one cycle then start another cycle if so the start switch is most likely the problem

I'm not really sure what you mean about ending one cycle and starting another, but the timer dial doesn't advance by itself. Where ever I set it is where it stays. I've noticed now that it has stopped ticking.

I have been reading about several people who have replaced their timers and had no success. After they replaced the "resistor" , things seemed to be ok. Even after reusing the old timer in the "scenerio" - Would I be better off starting out with purchasing the resistor first, then if no results, buy the timer?

I have a Kenmore Dryer as well. I just replaced the timer and it still won't shut off. Did you replace the resistor and did that work?

Actually, I figured since the resistor was cheaper, I'd try that first - worked!!! Saved a few bucks on the timer.... I ordered the resistor from partselect.com part # 279872 this was the best 20 bux I spent repairing any appliance.
