Default Kenmore Dryer Front Seal
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.6790279
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have the above dryer and a felt seal has dropped into the tub from around the perimeter of the dryer tub/drum near the door. I'm guessing this is the front seal. Here is my quesitons.

1. Will I need to remove the drum to replace? If not what is the best way to replace?

2. Will it harm the dryer if I wait about a month to replace?

Thanks, I appreciate any help in doing this myself.

Here is a link your parts
Kenmore Parts for Models 11067902790

NOTE: I had to add a zero to the Model Number you posted so you may want to check it

You are going to want to open it up.
You will probably have to clean the inside, especially the motor.
Might as well check the belt, rollers (a single drop of oil on each doesn't hurt), rear seals, etc. Also spend another 20 minutes and clean and check you vent system.
Now the unit is overhauled and should be good for a while.

Can you leave it for another month, depends on how much you use it and what you dry. Towels generate a lot of lint. I would do it as soon as I could but sometimes, a month would be as soon as I could. Like a lot of things it's a gamble.
