Question Kenmore dryer 2 wires not sure about plz help
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 86873100
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi my problem is i went away for week an when i came back i noticed someone came in my garage as its open in front its where i keep washerdryer an cut my plugs i was really confused till i bought new dryer cord an guy told me people steal wire for copper so sad anyhow i got cord all wired up as they pulled out terminal block aswell im left with 2 wires i dont know wether they go to black or red theres one purple and one orange an they both seem to come out of the theromosat control kit i have tookin pictures so it would be like your looking right at it of digram an wires i em in canada so probly difernt then us models but here are the pictures of digram an wires http://forums.partselect.com/attachm...1&d=1191483768[/IMG] http://forums.partselect.com/attachm...1&d=1191483875http://forums.partselect.com/attachm...1&d=1191483875 not sure if these are guna show up well see anyhow i hope theres someone that can direct me in the right direction as too hooking up these 2 wires im just not sure wether they go to red or black or other way around thanks .. rob

Ok now use your diagram of your wiring harness, look on your resitor the wires will be marked rs, buzzer bs1, bs2 start sw co, no temp sw 2 purple wires vr, and vr1. just match up your colors and use good crimp connectors. remember the only,
colors on therminal block red white and black, purple go between timer,switch and operating thermostat, ect, you could also go to a washer-dryer junk yard and buy a complete wiring harness and just put it on!
