Default Kenmore Dryer
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 418120
Age: 1 - 4 years

I am trying to replace the heating coil on my dryer. I can not get the back off of the dryer. I took the top off but it seems like the back is welding togeather or something. I have taken all of the screws out and it will not budge.

The model you gave is not correct, but if you are saying that the back won't come off, then you must have a lower panel. Get a putty knife ands stick it in between the upper front panel, and the lower front panel about 3 inches from the right end, and then pull the panel off on that side, and then do the same on the other side. Once the panel is off, in the front on the right side is a long metal tube. Your element is in there. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
