Default Kenmore 90 Dryer randomly stops
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.68942890

Hi - Dryer randomly stops running - if you hit the start button it happily restarts and runs for a while then stops again - timer continues to run. Any ideas please

It sound like there is loose wire somewhere in the dryer.

You will have to check all the wiring connections.

Here is a link to the part of your dryer model 110.68942890

Hi - Thanks for your response - I don't think it is a loose wire as the timer continues it's journey. The motor stop running and you just have to hit the start button to get it going again.

Could be a door switch which is just being closed. It may be loose or you may be able to adjust it so it pushes the actuator further in.
The door gets hit with some clothes, the switch opens, dryer stops, clothes fall, no longer push against the door, switch closes. Lo and behold you come along push start and away it goes
I know on my dryer, with the door open the dryer stops but the timer continues to run until it hits the OFF position
