Default Installing Insulator, heat shield to outer door
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 41798862891
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have to replace what is called the Insulator/heat sheild for my 9 year old Stackable W/D. The W/D seems to work fine. However I noticed that the Insulator/heat sheild inside the dryer door has buckled. It is not expense to replace it, but a general question I have is how does the Insulator/heat sheild stick to the inner door? I have not order the part yet, but just wondering how this will happen. Any adivce is appreciated. I am also assuming I can do this myself, for I am pretty handy. Would that be correct as well?

The heat shield is held in place by the door panel.

You may be able to flatten the shield out and reuse it.

Take the door off the dryer and take the door apart.

Here is a link to the parts of your washer/dryer model 41798862891.
