Default Inglis Dryer Knob is Stuck?
Brand: Inglis
Age: 1 - 4 years

I am clueless about dryer repair. I hope someone can help. My timer? knob slipped off while trying to start my dryer. When I put the knob back on and turn it, I can hear the dryer humming but the knob keeps sliding off the stem and will not "pop" out. I have tried using pliers but they don't seem to work. Please help. I have to do laundry daily.

I'm not sure I'm clearly understanding your problem? Other than you can't seem to get the knob to stay on, by saying you hear the dryer humming do you mean its running, or not running and making a humming noise.

Do you have a model number, it tends to help so we can see what you are working with.
