Default Ingiter - continuity?
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: DG412 Series 7
Age: 5 - 10 years

My daughter's dryer doesn't heat anymore (Maytag DG412 Series 7) so I pulled out the igniter and checked it for continuity. There was none. Is this normal when checking an igniter to see it it works or does this mean the igniter is no good?

Thanks!
Gregory B

the ignitor has very high resistion if you meter is set to low or the meter dosen't go high enough you will think its bad. better to check to see if you have 120 volts to the ignitor. check the continuity on the thermo fuse on the blower housing, should be white with 2 screws holding it
