Default How to replace dryer belt
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: PYE4500
Age: 5 - 10 years

The belt has popped on the girl friend's dryer and I need to be a hero and repair it for her. I lifted the top and pulled the old belt out and have the replacemet belt. For this model of maytag, PYE4500AZW, do i tackle this from the front or the back fo the dryer? Any special tips I need to know?

If you're trying to make an impression then don't let her read this and see how simple it all is. Click on this link to see a diagram and click on the belt in the parts list to read about how several people replaced theirs. PYE4500 Parts List

Looks like you raise the top to remove the front.

Woody, first time on this site, didn't realize all the information was available under the parts ordering. Thanks. I am going to have to make it a little more complex. I don't want her to think I'm a keeper!
