Default How to get to the heater element
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: GCE02152ESO
Age: 1 - 4 years

I can see sparks coming out around the heater element enclosure but I cant see how you get to the element as there is no access from the back. Does the whole drum have to be removed? Has anybody got any ideas I'm sure it is pretty simple if you know how any help would be happly appreciated.

Put a putty knife in the crack between top & front, about 3" from each side. pop up the top, inside the front on each side near the top, remove 2 phillips screws.(make sure it's unpluged from the wall) pull back front panel, disconect door switch wires, then lift off pannel. remove the little yellow drum guard on top, then disconnect belt, lift the rear part of drum first, to get to pop out of ball & socket bearing, remove drum, heat element is attached with 4 phillips screws.
