Default Hotpoint Dryer-- Switch 3 prong power coord to 4 prong
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: NVL333EB4WW
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello,
I just moved into my new home and it has only 4 pronged receptacles for our dryer. I am attempting to switch the 3 prong out but Im not sure how. I have already purchased the new plug and it has 4 wires, black, green, red and white. Should I put the green and white wires together and connect to the terminal block?

Thanks,

T

No, if you do that you still have a 3prong type hook up!Put the red on right terminal, white on centre, black on left, and green on cabinet with green ground.
