Model Number: MR1401099
Age: 1 - 4 years

My Whirlpool Dryer Is Working Fine, Other Than My On/off Switch Will Not Allow Dryer To Start Unless It Is Held In. The Timer Works Fine When The Knob Is Predded Down By Hand.

If you have to hold the start button to keep it running, your motor is only running on the start windings, and not going on to run cycle. tha motor probably has to be replaced.
