Default Heating sometimes, sometimes not
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDE4658AYW
Age: 1 - 4 years

My maytag dryer has started to not heat up most of the time. I have checked the heating element - 10ohms. The relay on the motor is fine. I have already replaced the high limit thermostat, and the thermal fuse. The heater relay on the control board reads 240V across it when not heating, and 0V when heating properly. My question is: Does the thermistor and/or sensor bars drive the heater relay on the board? I am hoping not to have to replace the whole board.

Default Still no heat

Does anyone know if the sensors(I have a thermistor and moisture sensor bars) have any effect on the heater relay(on the control board). Could it be the rotary switch? I had a clogged vent hood which started this whole episode. As I said: I am getting 240V at the heater relay on the board, so I know that the thermal fuse, heater coil, high limit t-stat, and cycling t-stat are fine. What is causing my problem?
