Default Heating Element
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: ler5620kq1
Age: 1 - 4 years

Just replaced the heating element on my Whirlpool dryer, which I had just repalced 6 months ago. Wanted to ask if anyone has had this short of a lifespan on the heating element. Also noticed that my lint screen is not picking up much lint, not sure why.

TIA
Mike

There may be a problem with the lint shout.

With the element there should be a years warranty on the element.

It may be that the vent run is to long or restricted.

Here is a link to your dryer model ler5620kq1.

I have noticed that the lint screen does not have any lint on it... I took of the chute that the lint screen goes in and there was nothing in there. I was thinking of replacing the lint screen.

Well Sheila you were correct, the vent goes into the wall and up thru the roof..Which btw really sucks. I bought the $12 vent kit at Lowes and hooked it up and now the dryer dries like a charm. Load of jeans dries in just one cycle.

Yeah!!!! Thanks for the help.
