Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: 61894
Age: More than 10 years

how do test the heater stat, i have tested the fuses and replaced the element and dryer still will not heat the heater stat is the only part that im not sure of.

If you unplug the dryer, and take the wires off of the thermostat, put your meter on Ohms, and if you get a reading it is good. If not it is bad. Also check the thermal Fuse on the heater housiong the same way. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
