Default Ge dryer won't shut oiff

Help my dryer doesn't want to shut off. Can it be the timer? Is there a reset button on these dryers. It tripped the breaker I'm not sure if the dryer hose touched some kind of contact underneath or what happened. It was working fine, I pulled it out from the wall to check on the hose because it got crimped and was rubbing the drum when it was spinning. I ended up putting the hose back on and pushed back in place next thing you know I turned it on and it tripped the breaker. I pulled it back out pulled off the back there was a wire pulled out on the top I pushed that back on . I know won't shut off by the knob it still shuts off with door open and I still have heat. Can you tell me what may be causing it not to shut off?

The short you had most likely shorted out the timer motor. That is why it won't advance. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
