Default GE Dryer running well but not getting hot.
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: D644MN1191
Age: More than 10 years

My GE Dryer runs well, but yesterday, I discovered that it is not getting hot. I am hoping that someone can play the part of Sherlock Holmes and help me solve my dryer mystery. Thanks.

Cannot find any info on this unit, tried two different sites

Are you sure this is the correct Model Number

The usual suspects for no heat are: heater element, thermal cutout thermostat and operating thermostat
Could also be a number of other parts
Try it on all different cycles to see if any cycle/option will heat.
This will help with troubleshooting
Get a volt/ohm meter if you are going to repair this unit yourself.

Default GE Dryer

Hi! Denman, thanks for your effort and for asking me if I had the right model number. I double checked and discovered that I had a letter wrong. The correct number is MODEL D644MW1191. Thanks again.
