Default Ge dryer off balance
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: dbsr453gb2ww
Age: 1 - 4 years

My daughter 22 pounds climbed into dryer when stopped, (curious) I quickly removed her. At the time I didn't hear any bending or trouble. When I turn on my dryer now it s seems to be stressed a bit. Could the weight have thrown it off? Can I open it up and re align it?

It sound like the drum is bent.

I don't think you can take the bend out of it but it is worth a try.

If that does not work you can always buy a new drum.

Here is a link to your dryer model dbsr453gb2ww.

Default bent drum

would that be an rod that holds the drum that is bent, the drum is thick enough on its surface that it wouldn't bend. MAybe the axle that spins the drum is bent?

Yes the drum is thick but 22 pounds is enough to bend it.

Something else may be out of place but you will have to look and see.
