Default GE dryer leaving marks on clothes
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: DVL223
Age: More than 10 years

I have read here that the problem might be the felt seal on the dryer. I have the owners manual but it says nothing on how to replace it.
I just discovered that the drum is off balance too. Could that be the cause?
Is this something I can correct?

It doesn't make any noises and dries the clothes great.. Just need to find the cause of the brown marks..

Thanks

The operation of the dryer is normal it may not be the dryer that is leaving the marks.

The drum may look out of balance if you watch it turning but again if the dryer is running normally it is not likely a problem.

You would have to take the dryer apart to check the seal.

Here is a link to your dryer model DVL223.

For a detailed parts list you will need the last 5 digit of your model number.
What kind of washer do you have?

It may be the washer.
