Default GE Dryer help
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: ??
Age: 1 - 4 years

My dryer is a about a year and a half old and recently is has started to act up. When I turn the start button it just hums but doesn't actually start up. the first 2 times it did it I just turn the knob back and forth a few times and it caught but now... nothing. Like I said it makes a humming noise when turned to indicate it is at least receiving the message just not starting... Any idea how I can get it working again??

If a loud hum, you have a bad motor, if low humm, probably still a bad motor. Put a "cheater " cord on pins 4& 5 of the motor and see if it starts.
