Default GE Dryer Grinding Noise
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: DBXR453ET5WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a GE dryer Model # DBXR453ET5WW. I'm getting a grinding noise from the front. After taking it apart, it seems the squirrel cage/blower in front is rubbing the frame. It just started all at once. My question is: 1. Is it worth fixing ? 2. Could it be just the blower or something in the motor and the blower?

Thanks,
Blade

Here is a link to your unit
GE DBXR453ET5WW

You will have to figure out what changed to cause the rubbing
Could be just a bolt came loose

Thanks denman. I took a second look and tore apart the blower. I found that it had shifted on the motor shaft. I took it off and cleaned everything and reinstalled the blower. Works fine now.............
