Unhappy Gas Dryer running hot
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LGT7848DQ0
Age: More than 10 years

The dryer was running for a while not heating properly. Eventually it stopped running. Determined that the timer was the issue. Replaced timer and now it is running very hot. Currently we have it running on the low setting since medium and high are too hot. Any ideas?

It could be one of your thermostats.

It is likely the operating thermostat located on the blower housing.

Here is a link to your dryer model LGT7848DQ0.
