Default Gas dryer LP conversion
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: DPSE810GGWT
Age: Less than 1 year

I just bought this gas dryer and the LP conversion kit to replace one that died. Not much of a manual for the conversion. It isn't hard to convert, but I can't figure out how to GET to the burner. There is no access panel, the "schematic" shows the burner at the back of the dryer (wrong...it's at the front) but no way to get to it! I even had a friend come over to see if I overlooked anything (nope).
Any advice (the GE web site is of no use...I even downloaded the CAD drawing and found a viewer program, but it has no useful info) would be appreciated.

Open the dryer door and check for screw that secure the front panel to the top.

If there are no screw the top is held down with spring clips.

The clip will be located about two inches from the edge.

Use a putty knife to release the clips and raise the top.

Then you will find a screw on each side holding the front panel to the side panel.

Here is a link to your dryer model DPSE810GG0WT.

Regarding your dryer. I've done a conversion of this type before and as I recall you have to pop 4 clips on the top plate, typically at the corners, and then the sides, only 2, should detach to access burner assembly. Every new model gets more and more difficult. Try a screw driver to pop that top and go from there.

Bless ya man. Hope that helps
