Default Gas dryer
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: ye-yg20jn-4
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello:

My dryer igniter comes on, then shuts off because It appears it is not getting gas, although the gas did come on once and started heating then shut off. I think the igniter is working because it always comes on. I just don't think it is getting gas. Do you think it is a faulty gas valve?

It could be the gas valve but it should check by a qualified gas technician.

Unhappy amana dryer

My dryer will dry my clothes for about 20 minutes then turns off will not turn back on until the unit cools off. I've replaced both thermostats and the timer. I've just ordered the heating element. any other suggestions.
