Default Front Panel Removal
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LER8648
Age: 1 - 4 years

The dryer keeps tripping the circuit breaker and I would like to get the front panel off to see if the motor is dirty or the drum rollers are bad...cant' figure out how to get the front panel off. Looks like plastic clips, but I dont want to get too aggressive with it and snap the clips. Any thoughts or experience with this model?

Where is the lint filter? There are 2 kinds of dryers with 2 different filter locations.
the most p[opular, have the filter on top, the other kind has the filter in side the door. If yours is on top, remove the lint filter, remove the 2 small screws there, (un plug the dryer)pull the top from the back on one side and the at the same time pop the top up on that side, then do the same on the other. now lift the top up and rest it aginst the wall on it's hinges. Therer's 2 small screws inside of each side, near the top of the front of the cabinet. remove them, and unplug the wires on the door switch, then with a little jerk up, remove the front pannel! real easy!
