Default Frigidaire dryer: won't start
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: LEQ2152es0
Age: Less than 1 year

Bought this from lowes as a Scratch and Dent.

Has power to board. You can select cycle,it beeps, board shows timer, etc.
Drum light comes on when door is open, off when closed.

But when 'start" is pressed, nothing happens. just a ccontinuous beep evry second that the start button is depressed.

Thermal fuse / limiter checks OK.(Shows continuity, 0.00 reading).

I don't have any paperwork for it. Playing around, I found that if i press and hold the "select" button and "cancel" at the same time, the board reads "rE5".

I can't find any reference to frigidaire dryer fault codes, so maybe that means nothing. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong....

Is there a fault code system for this dryer?

Where else can I look for the problem?

Should I go as far at this point as seeing if there power being sent to the motor?

ANY advice is greatly appreciated!

Dale

Default

Measure the voltage drop between pins 1 and 2 of J4.

If you get 120 volts you have a defective control board.

If the voltage is 0 you have a defective door switch.

The code you are getting is likely be cause the two buttons that you have pushed should not be pushed together.

Here is a link to your dryer model LEQ2152es0.
