Default Electric dryer won't start when pushing start button
Brand: Sears
Model Number: c1100451291
Age: 5 - 10 years

Dryer has power. You can hear the faint clicking noise of the timer running when you select a drying time but nothing happens when you press and hold the start button. Worked and dried the last load fine the last time is was used.

Ideas are appreciated.

Check and see if the belt broke.

If it did there is a safety switch that is stopping it from starting.

With the door open push in the door switch and have someone push the push to start button while you turn the drum.

If the dryer starts the start winding in the motor is opened and the motor will have to be replaced.

You say you have power to everything
What have you checked?
How have you checked it?
Where did you check it?

Normal suspects are the door switch or the thermal fuse
