Default Electric dryer no heat after repair
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LDE7500
Age: More than 10 years

Original problem was very little heat. Found one heating element bolt broken and element touching enclosure. Replaced terminal bolt resulting in no heat at all. Replaced thermostat located on heating element enclosure, still no heat.

Element continuity test O.K. Drum turns normally. Vent is open and blowing good stream of air. 220v at dryer terminal block. Dryer does not have a timed cycle other than Air Fluff.

I thought this was going to be an easy fix because what I found (heating element grounded) was exactly what various sources stated was a primary cause of reduced heat.

Any suggestions? Thanks, Sheldon

Check the thermal fuse that is located on the heater housing.

Here is a link to your dryer model LDE7500.

Measure voltage and current to element, still probably bad.
