Question Electric Dryer
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LER4634JQ1
Age: 1 - 4 years

It takes twice as long to dry clothes. I assumed there were two heating elements and one out, but not so. Just curious why lower level of heat ie you would think no heat if element is bad. Right now I think my only option is to replace entire heating element. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Check the dryer vent if the air flow is restricted the close will not dry.

If the heating element is working there is nothing wrong with it.

Check to make sure the lint screen is clean.

Here is a link to your dryer model LER4634JQ1.
