Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 86873100
Age: 5 - 10 years

hi was wondering if someone could help me out im trying to figure out 2 wires when hooking up terminal block as block was taking out an wires were cut i have put a new 220 dryer plug on because someone had cut it off i have wired it up but theres a orange an purple wire im not sure weither they go to black or red or other way around i have pictures of my situation, of digram and wires an the 2 wires they come from the thermosta kit the picture shows the wires orange an purple please let me know if you have any sugestions thank you very much or if you need more info i can tell you more ..rob also all wires shown in picure are the wires that ran into terminal block

it wont let me upload a full size picture so its hard to read if you have a email an think you could help me plz let me know so i could email you a full size picture as digram picture is to small too read after being uploaded i guess it gets shrunken during upload thanks

Why don't you go to a neighbor or relative that has a kenmore dryer and take off the back and write down what you need to know. Just makes sence!

do i need to have the thermostat fuse and thermostat cycleing kit hookup up

the purple wire runs out of the thermostat cycleing kit an the orange wire comes out of the thermostat fuse do i need to have them hooked up or can i jus tape them off an leave them out ?

The purple wires operate your auto cycle, simply put all wires play a part in the operation of your dryer, none can be omitted.

all kenmore dryers have almost the same wiring if you look at someone's dryer it will all make sence, don't guess about this stuff please.
