im not guessing im asking for helpfull information because i cant aford to have a tech come to my home at the moment and have found many helpfull people online just need to find the right one an as to finding same dryer i have justs moved here my familys all dead an i know 2 people so far since moving an they have stacking washer dryer an other has gas and im not planning on going to all the nebbours an asking them to rip apart there dryers to see whats going on i have all the info here on my computer to make it be as if you where standing right here looking at it so basicly im hoping a dryer tech will be able to help me i know the orange wire goes to either the black or red an the purple either goes to black or red as well but im not planning on hookin up an seeing what happins due to i dont want to ruin my dryer reason im having this whole problem is because well i was in beetween moving someone came into my open garage where dryer an washer were an cut the cords that go to wall but they cut them right below terminal block when i got new cords the man told me people steal wire for copper so im asuming thats what happiend as i see no other reason for someone cutting off my cords i called a tech to see how much it would be around an he told me being located where i em would be at least 160 just to come out then what ever on top to get runnnin kind of alot to pay to jus find out wether the 2 wires go to the black or red but i know its hard to get helpfull information free now adays but hey its worth a shot ... so thats my situation

Have you looked at the wires on the back of your timer? should be black, red,orange,blue,white/black stripe,purple,and sometimes white/red stripe.
You see I'm here in florida I can't see your problem,from here.off of your terminal block should be, one red one white one black. purple can go to timer ,and temp switch. orange is used a lot for the buzzer, drum lite, you see I' guessing, I don't know what you have without being there.but looking at another dryer would make it real simple. I've never yet run into a problem such as yours, not every day does all the wires get cut. Bettyboop
