Question Dyer won't start
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: JDE2000W
Age: 5 - 10 years

I just finished a load. Went to place another in, turned the timer and went to turn it on and nothing happened. Tried again and it buzzed like it was at the end of the cycle and still nothing....

Check to make sure you have 240 volts to the dryer.

Check the thermal fuse on the heater housing of the dryer if the voltage is good at the dryer.

Here is a link to your dryer model JDE2000W.

If you do not have a meter, unplug the dryer, and pop the top, and on the side of the heater housing you will see two white wires going down to the right side to the thermal fuse. pull the two white wires, and put them together, and put a little tape around it, and then plug in the dryer. If it works, you can buy the thermal fuse kit from these good people on this site, if you dont have a part house where you live. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Does your interior light work, only applies if the light was working before you had this fault? If the light works your thermal fuse is probably OK.

Does the buzzer always sound off when you push start or did it only do it this once?
Are you sure it was the buzzer and not a buzz originating from the motor?

Have you flipped your breaker on/off a couple times, slowly?

Try it in all cycle types.
