Default Duct Kit replacement
Brand: Admiral
Model Number: LNC7644A71
Age: 1 - 4 years

I seem to be missing a part next to my lint trap. I can see from Part Number PS45882 (Partselect.com - Maytag Dryer Parts And All Brands of Appliance Parts) that the replacement part also looks like my current duct kit. If you look near the top left of the component there is an oval shaped depression with two small pin holes and two small square openings in the depression. What is supposed to go in that place. I cannot find a part anywhere and my dryer exhaust ducting is constantly backing up due to those holes. Basically its like a good portion of the lint is bypassing the lint trap once it has some lint on it, then the rest just goes through those square holes. This is causing some grief...not to mention a fire hazard if I don't keep it cleaned out. Any guidance/insight would be much appreciated. Would getting a replacement duct kit come with whatever small part is supposed to go there?

Jason

Can you please verify your model number as I can't find it in our database.

The model number should be on a tag with the serial number.

Some lint will get by the filter.

Make sure that the filter is all the way in place and it is cleaned after every load.

It is recommended that the dryer be clean at least once a year.

The oval piece on the duct looks like the spot that a sensor is mounted if the dryer is equipped with that feature.
