Default Dryer would not keep temperature
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: DG9800
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have question about which part(thermostat or temp switch) I need to change. The dryer would not maintain temperature. Once I put the dryer into drying cycle I can see the igniter working, then the gas valve releases. The flame runs for about 10-15sec and then shuts down. This repeats for the duration of the drying cycle.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

We don't give advice on gas appliances due to safety concerns.

Any repairs on gas appliances should be done by a qualified gas technician.
