Default Dryer won't start
Brand: Kenmore
Age: More than 10 years

Older Kenmore electric dryer..... this is very very odd, at least to me. The dryer won't start, however, it has a wrinkle guard feature, and if left there on wrinkle guard, it functions in that capacity, (tumbles and then stops to prevent wrinkling). Can anyone offer any help?

Do not have a wiring diagram for your unit but do have one for a Maytag with Wrinkle Control about the same vintage as yours.

My guess would be contacts L to M in the timer are open. These should be closed on all cycles except at the OFF positions on the dial.
