Default Dryer won't start
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: PYE/ G2300 - G3300
Age: 1 - 4 years

Dryer will not start. Breaker is OK and power (220V) confirmed at outlet. Door switch continuity check OK. What's next to check? Thermal fuze? Is there one and how to get to it and check it? Timer / on-off switch? Also, I checked the conteol panel. It is a single unit for both the on/off and timer switch. Nothing looks burnt and no loose wires, etc. Any help greatly appreciated.

Default You're right.....

I had called and asked my daughter for the model number and she read it off the book. The ACTUAL model number from the door panel is PYE2300AYW.

Any help or clues would me most appreciated.

there is a thermofuse on the line to the motor. If you pop the top off (should be two clips holding top down that need to be pushed in with a stiff putty knife) on the back wall you will see the heating element and two limits. the one on the side is bad. check out part number PS177300 at PartSelect.com should fix your problem
