Here is the parts breakdown NWXR473EV Parts List
Try different timer settings to see if any of them work. May help in troubleshooting
Most likely you have a timer problem
Contacts L and M on the timer provide a power path to the motor and timer after the start is released.
Put the unit in timed dry and start it. When it stops does the timer continue to run even with the motor off. If YES then it is probably the motor switch
Can also check this with a ohm meter. Set unit mid-cycle and check for 0 ohms across the contacts. Remove either the L or M wire before checking. Remember to unplug the unit.
The run/aux(start) switch switches the motor to the Run only winding and provides a path to the L/M timer contacts. If it is this you will have to replace the motor as I do not see a separate switch assembly. Depending on the condition of the dryer and cost of the motor, this is where I start looking at a new dryer.
Could not find a wiring diagram for your unit so the above is a bit of a guess using info from similar machines. |
